Today it's a groundstorm day. The wind picked up last night, and it's just white out. The kids got out of school at 3 today, and we made sure they all had a person walking them home or picking them up. The weather meter in the office says the windspeed average is 30mph, the temp is -8F, humidity 81% and the chill factor puts us at -37F. Brrrr. Janice got mild frostbite on her neck just riding up to her parents. Her sister Hannah just got a new Honda, Jan really likes it. Our Honda needs some work done on it- the rear left hub spindles wore out, and I have to dig the machine out just to replace it, I'll do it soon I hope.
No mail planes today! No planes at all, when it's windy like this. The visibility is too low from all the snow powder suspended in the wind.

We're beginning to plant down here and sitting out on the front porch in the late afternoon. Feels good. It'll warm there soon, too.
We visited James Sunday jup at NARA. He is doing well. Mikey is here but leaving tomorrow for Eugene.
