The weather was sure windy a couple of days ago, it blew so hard it was shaking our house! Jan's sister flew in from Nome on a windy morning, and the plane tipped over after it landed on the runway. The people here call it a groundstorm when the high winds blow the snow off the ground into blizzard like conditions. You can look up and still see the moon, or maybe some stars, but look horizontally, and you can't see the length of a football field.
Today Janice went to Nome with her brother, who is getting his tooth worked on tomorrow. I'm here with the girls and George.
Last week we were having a war with mold, the cold walls condense the water vapour out of the air, and we were grossed out by the amount of mold that had grown. It's not good for you either, the mycotoxins and spores can cause allergies, hair loss, headaches, diarhhea, fatigue and some types are linked to demyelination of the nerves causing tremors. Yucck! So we sprayed bleach and Lysol, and I repaired the ionizer to clear the air.
