We've had a good 4-day weekend. Here's a cute picture of Kelly Ann wearing George's hat.
Mom went to Anchorage to get an MRI, they want to make sure she doesn't have anything wrong with her pituitary gland, she was having problems seeing well, and one doctor thought she might have cataracts, but it could also be caused by pressure on the optic nerve.
We're reading "Alaska's Daughter," a biography about a 1/2 Eskimo 1/2 German woman named Betty, and it's fun because it takes place right here in this area (Teller, Nome and Brevig Mission back when it was called Teller Mission.) The woman's father actually named the spit of land right across from Teller "Nook" which is still in use today. We're still in the second chapter, so I'm looking forward to reading more.
I also read "A Brief History of Progress" which was informative and eye opening for me- sometimes you need a kick in the pants to get you to think about what a unique place in history we are as human beings.
This site is one of the best I have ever seen, wish I had one like this.
