Another training day today, it's our break so I'll keep this short. I'm in an SFA Reading Edge training, but for the first hour I was in Reading Wings, until a facilitator let me know there were some mix ups in the scheduling and got me to the right class.
Last night, late, I took a short walk to the beach and looked at Mars. It was really bright. Plus a few shooting stars, and I was thankful to have glasses that help me see. I looked out at Norton Sound, and realized it was more directly connected to the Pacific than Grantley Harbor. Mars must be really close this time of year, it stood out prominently from the rest of the stars. No wonder that planet has stood out in the myths and legends of many cultures.
There was a fair amount of small, really hard driftwoods which reminded me of Ironwood from Mexico. It was curious, because at that density the piecess couldn't drift very far, could they? I wondered about that, and thought about how scientists are finding evidence still that Alaska was a very warm place a long time ago.
