Baby is good, the doctor said her throat looks normal, and that she must still have a soft epiglotis. She will cough while she's drinking her bottle, and we have to pat her back so she won't throw up from coughing so hard. She also snores a fair amount, but it's getting quieter.

The whole trip went smoothly, I saw grandma Margaret on the way there and on the way back, and she sure liked seeing Kelly. I saw a pair of mukluks grandma made at the hospital, that was sure cool. There were also some of Jan's earrings in the Gift shop, which I got to go in this time. I remembered her making them and felt proud of her for doing such nice work.

While we were there KellyAnn kept getting lots of attention, people were all smiling at her, making faces to let her smile, and telling me I had a cute baby. I saw Jan's uncle at ANMC, he was going to Shishmaref on Monday to visit family. I had a roommate from Tuluksak (sp?) who was a nice guy, and another roommate from Bristol Bay who reminded me of a brusque Harvey Keitel.
Arlene, Mar, and Jenna picked me up at the airport. I didn't even call them, they just knew I was coming on the evening flight and showed up as I waited at the baggage claim. They took me to the hospital and I checked in at Quyanna house. We also went shopping, and visited their house- which is really nice and has a good view of the mountains. Mar's kids are sure nice, they all grew lots since I saw them last.
The flight back left at 9:00am, so Kelly and I had to check in two hours early. That meant getting up early, and calling a taxi, and checking in and all that. I bought Starbucks coffee from the coffe shop inside, and sat in the terminal and drank coffee and played with baby. Our flight back from Nome was routed Shishmaref, Wales, Brevig, and I had a good time looking at the landscape and thought how it was all going to change soon when the snow melts. Being back home is the best, travelling was good, but getting home was so nice.
